The  Viet Nam Country Side
All pictures below  from Jan./Feb., 1969
Hill-800?

looking at rice patties
looking out over broken trees made by a B-52 strike
looking down on a Marine fire support base
Mountain where we found a NVA Battalion base camp above the  clouds

A peek through the trees

Water buffalo in rice patties. Small children were able to handle the water buffalo, while soldiers were intimidated.

Looking up at where we had been.
What beauty!!!

Antenna Valley, had many booby traps,  where John David Knight was killed Dec.31, 1968.
All rice and no place to hide.

Went on night ambush, early a.m. spotted 8 dinks on trail. M60 machine gun jammed, had to call in artillery too far away for M16s to reach.
